About Power Query:
Power Query is an ETL tool that comes free with Excel since version 2016. (For versions 2010 and 2013, Power Query can be installed separately.) It allows you to Extract, Transform and Load data from virtually any source, clean and transform the data as per your needs and load it into your Excel file, looking neat and organized, just the way you want it to look. After building the ETL process once, the next time your data changes, you just need to hit that “Refresh” button to update all the information. It is that simple and easy!
About your Instructor:
Celia Alves is a certified MOS Expert in Excel and develops complex solutions combining Excel, VBA, Power Query and Power Pivot to automate tasks, analyze data and model business situations. She got her Licentiate and Master’s degree, both in Mathematics and Education from the University of Lisbon, in Portugal, and worked as a high school Mathematics teacher for two decades up to 2013 when she moved to Canada. After re-skilling herself, Celia built a new career as an Excel consultant and trainer, ultimately founding her business Solve and Excel Consulting, serving companies in a wide variety of industries. Celia is also an international speaker and the founder and leader of the MS Excel Toronto Meetup Group.
